IN the Studio classes provide an intimate educational experience for artists of all levels who want to refine their techniques and elevate their artistry. Guided by experienced educators, each class offers a unique blend of discussion, demonstration, coaching, hands-on practice, and constructive feedback. Choose from a range of topics including bridal makeup, special effects, color theory, esthetics, and more. *IN The Studio attendees must bring their own brush set to each class; all other products will be provided. For the hands-on portions of class, attendees may either apply makeup to themselves or bring a model to work on (all models must also have a show ticket to enter the venue). *In The Studio classes are not included in general show tickets; after choosing your ticket type, select your add-on sessions and proceed. This class is a painterly exploration of color and texture — a workshop where artists learn to create structure, depth, and energy on the face using pigment, product layering, and finish contrast.
In this session we will focus on seeing makeup as art, not routine; training the eye to sculpt and harmonize features through strategic use of hue, texture, and balance. Setting aside light and contour, practice using color and surface quality build visual dimension on the skin. Understand how to reshape features with warm vs. cool tones, saturation, and contrast. During the class, our instructor will guide you through a classic look (e.g. smoky eye, red lip, clean skin) using unconventional tones and layered finishes to alter the shape and feel.
