The Makeup Show IN the Studio classes provide an educational experience for artists of all levels to help refine their makeup skills and elevate their artistry career in an intimate setting. Each class allows attendees to listen and learn through demonstration, coaching, discussion, hands-on practice, and constructive feedback. During the session, registrants have the option to either create a makeup look on themselves or bring in a model to work on after the first hour (all models must also have a show ticket to enter the class). *IN the Studio attendees must bring their own brush set. All other products will be provided. IN the Studio classes must be purchased in addition to your show ticket. You will have the option to select classes when you register for the show. REGISTER NOW

Take your bridal artistry to the next level. In this full-day intensive, work with our educator to refine your technique and master the art of creating elegant, high-performance makeup for every client. Ideal for established freelancers, salon artists, and anyone looking to advance their work in the bridal space, this session will cover how to select the best products, design and apply long-lasting looks, perfect placement and precision, execute a range of styles, and tailor your applications for photography and videography. Along with this more advanced practical exploration, our educator will also cover important considerations when it comes to the business of bridal. Develop your skills in building client trust, navigating larger bridal parties, and maintaining composure under pressure so that your bride feels understood, at ease, and beautiful.

In makeup, we use theory to understand how colors react to each other and how our eyes process that reaction. This is the basis of all makeup design. Color theory applied in beauty makeup lets us enhance certain features like eye color, make educated choices to correct skin distractions or imperfections, and reduce issues like under-eye discoloration. For more advanced or avant-garde looks, color theory will also help you create a unique and impactful result. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to make your own foundations, customize colors to design the best looks for your clients, and develop your eye to see how color theory applies to all aspects of your work.

In this session, our instructor will demonstrate how to customize formulas and finishes for different skin types and complexions and guide you through selecting eye, lip, and cheek tones that enhance and balance naturally diverse features. Come away knowing how to match and balance foundation across all skin tones and undertones while using strategic highlighting, contouring, and concealing for natural dimension. This class is a painterly exploration of color and texture — a workshop where artists learn to create structure, depth, and energy on the face using pigment, product layering, and finish contrast.
In this session we will focus on seeing makeup as art, not routine; training the eye to sculpt and harmonize features through strategic use of hue, texture, and balance. Setting aside light and contour, practice using color and surface quality build visual dimension on the skin. Understand how to reshape features with warm vs. cool tones, saturation, and contrast. During the class, our instructor will guide you through a classic look (e.g. smoky eye, red lip, clean skin) using unconventional tones and layered finishes to alter the shape and feel. Leave with a deeper understanding of how to sculpt, soften, and energize a face using nothing but pigment and texture.

Learn to craft characters from concept to completion — merging technical makeup skills with emotional and narrative design. Ideal for artists working in film, editorial, theatre, fashion, or creative campaigns, this class bridges makeup design, psychology, and visual direction — teaching how color, texture, and proportion communicate identity, emotion, and world-building.
Elevate your work from “pretty” to “powerful.” Understand how makeup shapes identity and emotion, how a story is told through the face. Practice sculpting character through reshaping brows, contouring, and utilizing color zones to transform bone structure. Experiment and develop skills with skin texture, artificial aging, and fantasy color. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create makeup that looks flawless under studio lights and on high-definition cameras, while meeting the practical demands of set life. This class will cover essential on-screen makeup skills for TV, entertainment, and film, including corrective work such as tattoo coverage, realism techniques like bruising and injury makeup, and maintaining continuity throughout long shooting days.
You’ll be guided through evaluating the unique needs of clients on set, selecting the right products for durability and camera-readiness, and executing techniques that hold up to close-up shots and extended wear. Through step-by-step demonstrations and hands-on practice, you’ll build confidence designing and applying makeup for a range of on-screen scenarios—from natural beauty to character-driven looks—so you can deliver professional, production-ready results every time.
